Worked on the DFE-Digital/check-an-early-years-qualification repository to enhance the reliability of automated end-to-end testing. Focused on expanding the Playwright smoke test suite by adding back button navigation assertions within the smoke-tests.spec.ts file, ensuring that navigation flows behave as expected throughout the application. Utilized TypeScript and JavaScript to implement these enhancements, targeting early detection of navigation regressions and reducing the risk of issues before release. This work stabilized the test suite, enabling faster feedback cycles and supporting smoother release processes. The approach emphasized robust test coverage and improved confidence in critical user interface navigation paths during development and deployment.
