During January 2025, Treata11 enhanced the build infrastructure for the Esri/harfbuzz and facebook/zstd repositories by enabling native Apple framework builds on macOS and iOS. Leveraging C++, CMake, and expertise in build configuration, Treata11 updated build systems to conditionally generate Apple frameworks and standardized integration patterns across both projects. The work included lowering the minimum CMake version in zstd for broader compatibility and improving repository hygiene by refining .gitignore rules. These changes streamlined developer onboarding and reduced build friction, resulting in more maintainable, cross-platform codebases that support Apple-native distribution and align with best practices for repository management and documentation.
