Worked on enhancing authentication for FAF Tracker within the FAForever/gitops-stack repository by implementing a dedicated OAuth client. The approach involved integrating OAuth 2.0 for secure, scalable authentication and updating YAML-based configuration files to manage secrets and client credentials effectively. By removing the unnecessary lobby scope, the OAuth flow was streamlined, reducing potential security risks and simplifying permissions. The work focused on configuration management and API integration, ensuring that credentials were aligned and configuration drift was minimized. No bugs were reported during this period, reflecting a focused delivery of new authentication features with clear traceability through commit-driven changes.
