During a focused month of development, Waspw10 improved the reliability of the NRLMMD-GEOIPS/geoips base installation by addressing a critical issue in the installer script. Working with Shell and leveraging shell scripting skills, Waspw10 identified and corrected a function call typo in base_install.sh, ensuring that plugin registries are now properly created during the installation process. This fix reduces setup failures and streamlines onboarding for both users and CI pipelines. The work demonstrated attention to detail and a practical approach to code quality, though the scope was limited to a single bug fix rather than broader feature development or architectural changes.
