Developed end-to-end LUT4 support for the google/heir repository, enabling 4-input LUT configurations within Yosys and the CGGI dialects to expand programmable logic synthesis capabilities. The work involved updating the emitter to handle LUT4 emission and ensuring correct generation of LWE types, with comprehensive test enhancements to cover both LUT3 and LUT4 selectors. Using C++, MLIR, and Python, the developer focused on increasing configurability and reliability in the synthesis pipeline. These contributions accelerated hardware design cycles and improved regression safety, resulting in a more robust and flexible system for hardware configuration and synthesis within the project’s codebase.
