Worked on enhancing network configuration reliability and observability in the PBH-BTN/PeerBanHelper repository using Java for backend development. Focused on improving operational troubleshooting by making error outputs more informative, specifically by including timeout values in log messages to aid incident triage and user feedback. Refactored the retry mechanism by introducing a named constant for the retry interval, which increased code readability and maintainability. Adjusted log formatting to clarify error paths, supporting more effective debugging. These changes improved code quality and observability, enabling faster issue resolution and easier regression testing within the PeerBanHelper project, while demonstrating strong backend engineering practices.
