Worked on the apache/doris repository to enable and stabilize feature testing for Variant Flattening on Nested Tables, focusing on safer rollout and early regression feedback. Leveraged Groovy for test configuration, introducing a load.groovy file to activate the enable_variant_flatten_nested flag within the regression test suite. Temporarily commented out DROP TABLE statements in targeted test cases to reduce noise and facilitate focused testing. Emphasized database testing and regression testing skills to improve test-suite hygiene and CI feedback, supporting ongoing development. No major user-facing bugs were addressed during this period, as efforts centered on configuration, test coverage, and test stability improvements.
