During December 2024, Shubhamsaboo focused on repository hygiene and analytics accuracy for the markitdown project. They implemented a .gitattributes file to ensure that test files were excluded from GitHub language statistics, addressing the issue of skewed language metrics and improving the reliability of codebase analytics. Using Git and version control best practices, Shubhamsaboo’s work enhanced maintainability by making language statistics more representative of the actual production code. Although no user-facing features were released and no bugs were fixed during this period, the technical depth of the contribution lay in refining project analytics and supporting long-term codebase clarity.
