Worked on stabilizing the HKUDS/VideoRAG desktop application, focusing on improving reliability and security for Linux deployments. Addressed a GPU process crash by disabling hardware acceleration, ensuring smoother workflows and consistent cross-platform performance. Tackled content security policy syntax issues to maintain compliance and protect against vulnerabilities, while also updating package metadata to support stable and secure packaging. The work involved deep familiarity with Electron and Node.js, leveraging JavaScript and HTML to refine application behavior. Although no new features were added during this period, the engineering effort centered on critical bug fixes and infrastructure improvements to support robust desktop application development.
