
During February 2025, Xiaoyu Zhang developed a performance metrics collection and reporting feature for the opea-project/GenAIEval repository. By integrating with a memory bandwidth exporter, Xiaoyu enabled the collection of memory bandwidth, CPU, and memory utilization metrics, enhancing observability for system monitoring and performance analysis. The work involved extending the Python-based stresscli tool to fetch, parse, and persist metrics, as well as updating the reporting pipeline to generate metrics-aware reports. Xiaoyu also introduced a new module for metric fetching and processing, leveraging YAML for configuration. This feature supports data-driven optimization and capacity planning across diverse Kubernetes workloads.
