Over a two-month period, contributed to the OpenHUTB/nn repository by architecting and implementing core systems for pedestrian safety in autonomous environments. Established the project’s foundational structure, including documentation and scalable architecture, then delivered a modular data collection framework integrated with CARLA for simulation and multi-camera setups. Developed an advanced LiDAR-based sensor system supporting multi-vehicle coordination and V2X communication, with robust data processing, sensor fusion, and dynamic configuration validation. Addressed stability by resolving a gzip import issue, enhancing reliability. The work leveraged Python, C++, and ROS, emphasizing performance optimization, memory management, and standardized data formats to support large-scale, reliable experimentation.
Month: 2025-12 — OpenHUTB/nn delivered two major feature suites focused on pedestrian safety and sensor reliability, plus targeted stability improvements. The work established end-to-end data collection and sensing capabilities to support safer autonomous environments, with scalable tooling and robust configurations.
