Worked on refining policy enforcement for Go projects within the enterprise-contract/ec-policies repository, focusing on dependency management when an artifact registry proxy is configured. Addressed a bug that previously caused local Go dependencies and VCS modules to trigger false-positive policy violations, which could disrupt compliance workflows. Enhanced the policy engine’s logic to accurately exclude these dependencies, ensuring that policy checks align with artifact registry requirements. Utilized Go programming and policy development skills, along with Rego for policy definition, to improve the reliability of compliance signaling. The work resulted in reduced policy noise and more accurate enforcement for artifact registry-based development environments.
