Worked on enhancing the SlimeVR/SlimeVR-Server project by delivering a Japanese localization update for the GUI, focusing on improving usability for Japanese-speaking users. Implemented translations for body parts, settings, and status messages, and added new entries covering finger joints, tracker settings, and firmware update statuses. Utilized internationalization and localization skills, working primarily with the Fluent Translation Language (ftl) to ensure accurate and maintainable translations. This contribution supported the project’s internationalization roadmap, enabling broader adoption and smoother onboarding for non-English users. The work was completed within a month, maintaining the project’s release cadence and aligning with ongoing development goals.
