Aahil Mehta developed JAX Named Scopes Support in the keras-team/keras repository, focusing on backend development using Python and the Keras API. He integrated JAX’s named_scope with Keras’ name_scope, enabling improved scope management and traceability for JAX-based computations within the Keras backend. This technical approach aligned the two frameworks’ scope systems, making debugging and organization of JAX operations more straightforward. Although the work spanned one feature over a month, it established a maintainable foundation for future JAX integration and performance optimizations in Keras.
