Worked on the ROCm/TheRock repository to improve CI test coverage and optimize test suite execution. Focused on Python-based CI/CD pipelines, implementing changes to test filtering that automatically included new MIOpen tests while maintaining reliability by disabling problematic cases. Addressed CI stability by selectively disabling GPU_MIOpenDriver tests, which unblocked pull requests and reduced failures. Later, optimized Windows gfx1151 CI performance by disabling long-running tests, reallocating them to nightly runs to balance risk and throughput. These efforts reduced CI shard times and improved feedback cycles for contributors, leveraging Python scripting, test automation, and targeted resource management to enhance overall CI efficiency.
February 2026 (ROCm/TheRock) – Implemented Test Suite Optimization on Windows gfx1151 by disabling long-running MIOpen tests to free CI resources and shorten overall test time. This feature-level optimization improves CI throughput on constrained hardware and accelerates feedback for PRs, without impacting functionality on other configurations. Commit 1aaf471098e508d41dfc96a944ccf377643e2e29 was authored to document the change, rationale, and testing plan, with a plan to monitor shard times and move long tests to nightly.
