Worked on the sbt/sbt-sbom repository to enhance BOM generation for Scala projects by expanding coverage to include the ‘Provided’ dependency scope. This update improved visibility into dependencies that are required at compile time but not bundled at runtime, supporting more accurate licensing and audit processes. The implementation leveraged SBT and Scala, focusing on dependency management best practices while maintaining backward compatibility with existing workflows and scanning tools. No major bugs were reported during this period, and the feature was delivered with clear, traceable commits. The work addressed compliance goals and ensured a smooth transition for teams adopting the enhancement.
