The work focused on updating data sources, storage sizing, and security group configurations to enable smoother operations and future platform migrations.

September 2025 performance focused on upgrading runtimes and tooling, hardening security and compliance, expanding environment capabilities, and improving observability. Across the modernisation platform family, I delivered Go/tooling version upgrades, Terraform provider/module refreshes to v6, security hardening (EC2 metadata options and HTTP token requirements), and an expanded set of environments and networking configurations. I also implemented a JSON-change trigger, improved change detection, and updated Google Analytics configuration to align with privacy and analytics accuracy. These changes accelerate secure, scalable deployments, reduce operational risk, and enable faster feature delivery through more predictable infrastructure and tooling.

August 2025 highlights: reliability, security, and scalable deployment improvements across three repositories. Delivered critical infrastructure fixes, strengthened incident-notification flows, and streamlined multi-environment CI/CD. Key features delivered include secure Slack notifications with secret management, enhanced multi-environment CI/CD workflows and policy maintenance, and the retirement of outdated environments. Major bugs fixed in GuardDuty Terraform configuration and PagerDuty data source, plus documentation improvements. Overall, these changes reduce risk, improve operational reliability, and enable faster, safer deployments across environments.

July 2025 performance summary for the Ministry of Justice Modernisation Platform: Delivered cross-repo environment provisioning enhancements, foundational infrastructure, and security-focused upgrades that enable faster, safer releases and scalable operations. Implemented New Environment Request workflows for VCMS, JDDH, APNH, and APNP (Step 1/Step 2) with targeted test adjustments (add expected, add skip for vcms-test). Established Core Infrastructure Modules (sandbox, VPC, shared services, logging, network services) to accelerate new environment provisioning and consistency across environments. Upgraded AWS provider to v6 across a broad set of repositories, aligning templates and modules to support newer AWS features and GitHub actions compatibility. Modernised CI/CD and code quality practices by migrating to MP format-code workflows, introducing signed-commit workflows, and enhancing security permissions and SARIF reporting. Addressed reliability and security issues through deprecation warnings fixes, data schema cleanup, version error resolutions, and least-privilege policy refinements.
