Worked on the Hermes-agent repository to deliver stability, security, and observability improvements across critical backend integration points. Focused on Python development, the work addressed concurrency control and error handling by fixing race conditions in Slack approval flows and introducing safe JSON deserialization fallbacks. Enhanced API security through input validation, session origin checks, and header injection prevention, while also improving logging for credential and webhook failures. Resource management was strengthened by capping image download sizes and ensuring child processes were properly reaped. These changes reduced failure modes, improved data integrity, and supported secure, scalable operation of partner integrations and webhooks.
