Worked on the facebook/fbthrift repository to refactor ECH configuration handling, focusing on improving both clarity and operational efficiency. The project involved replacing the previous buffer-based approach with a parsed ECHConfigContent type, which streamlined ECH processing and reduced redundant parsing operations. By leveraging C++ for system design and network protocol implementation, the changes led to lower CPU usage and enhanced maintainability of the ECH-related codebase. This update not only improved current processing workflows but also established a foundation for future enhancements based on config type-driven logic, reflecting a thoughtful approach to scalable and reliable network protocol development within the codebase.
