Worked on the maximhq/bifrost repository to enhance the reliability of OpenRouter integration by addressing a critical issue in the filterUnsupportedTools step. Focused on backend and API development using Go, the work ensured that essential OpenRouter server tools remained accessible, preventing tool stripping that previously led to empty tool lists and upstream 400 errors on the /v1/responses endpoint. The solution aligned the filtering logic with the OpenAI-native whitelist, allowing for seamless support of current and future OpenRouter tools without manual updates. Emphasized robust testing and collaborative code review practices to reduce incident risk and improve long-term maintainability.
