Developed a conditional execution feature for the Copy Values Processor in the opensearch-project/documentation-website repository, introducing a new 'copy_when' parameter that enables data copying based on Data Prepper expressions. This enhancement focused on improving data processing flexibility by allowing conditional logic to determine when values should be copied, reducing unnecessary operations and potential data duplication. The work was implemented using Markdown for documentation and emphasized clear, maintainable code aligned with repository standards. Collaboration was demonstrated through co-authored commits and multiple sign-offs, ensuring the feature integrated smoothly into existing workflows and supported more configurable documentation data pipelines. No bugs were reported.
