Worked on the bazelbuild/rules_rust repository to deliver a targeted feature enhancing build-script dependency management for Rust projects. Developed and integrated the build_script_link_deps annotation into the crate annotation system, allowing explicit specification of build-script dependencies. This required updates to Bazel build files and Rust configuration, ensuring seamless support for the new attribute. The approach improved build reproducibility and enabled more precise dependency tracking for Rust crates utilizing build scripts. Leveraged expertise in Bazel, Rust, and build systems to implement these changes, focusing on maintainability and clarity in the build process. No bug fixes were recorded during this period.
