Developed a CDN detection enhancement for the adobe/spacecat-api-service, focusing on onboarding AEM CS Fastly behind a WAF. The work introduced HTTP probes to verify CDN presence when DNS results were inconclusive, improving detection accuracy for domains with non-Adobe IPs. Implemented robust error handling and logging to support maintainability and observability, while updating edge routing logic to support BYOCDN scenarios. The solution was built using Node.js and JavaScript, with comprehensive unit and end-to-end testing to ensure reliability. All changes aligned with Jira requirements, and documentation was prepared to support ongoing onboarding and future maintenance of the API service.
