Worked on the harness/lite-engine repository to enhance VM image governance by implementing VM Image Versioning within the VMImageConfig workflow. Introduced an imageVersion field in spec.go, enabling teams to specify exact VM image versions for deployments. This backend development effort, using Go and configuration modeling, addressed the challenge of configuration drift by allowing more deterministic and reproducible deployments across environments. The change aligned with CI/CD best practices, supporting granular image management and improving overall deployment reliability. No major bugs were addressed during this period, with the primary focus on delivering this targeted feature to strengthen infrastructure consistency and governance.
