Abhi Asap worked on the google-gemini/gemini-cli repository, delivering a telemetry enhancement that captures outcomes when users reject tool executions. Using TypeScript and full stack development skills, Abhi modified the scheduler logic to ensure user decisions are accurately reflected in telemetry data. The implementation included comprehensive testing to verify correct behavior and prevent regressions in user decision flows. By fixing a core telemetry bug, Abhi ensured that user rejections consistently update tool outcomes, improving the accuracy of analytics. This work enables more reliable data on user decision paths, supporting better product decisions and ongoing improvements to the CLI’s analytics capabilities.
