During July 2025, Alexander Bokovoy developed a new feature for the 389ds/389-ds-base repository, focusing on enhancing the Uiduniq plugin to support customizable attribute matching rules within filters. By implementing parser-based handling for colon-delimited attribute names in C, he enabled administrators to specify different matching behaviors, addressing the need for greater flexibility in attribute uniqueness enforcement. This work leveraged his expertise in LDAP, plugin development, and system programming, and directly responded to Issue 6857 by improving data integrity and policy customization. The feature laid the groundwork for broader validation and deployment, reflecting a deep, targeted engineering effort.
