Applied PHP and back end development skills to implement robust error handling and a graceful fallback mechanism, ensuring the Tools page remained functional even when the external API was unavailable. This solution reduced downtime and preserved essential workflows for users. The work was delivered as a single, traceable commit, supported by unit testing to maintain reliability. The approach demonstrated careful incident-driven engineering, focusing on minimizing outage exposure and supporting ongoing maintenance and recovery for the platform.
