During December 2024, Abomb enhanced the actualbudget/actual repository by integrating Hanseatic Bank support into the GoCardless payment system. Using JavaScript and leveraging full stack and backend development skills, Abomb introduced a dedicated configuration file for Hanseatic Bank and connected it through the bank factory, improving maintainability and scalability for future bank integrations. The implementation enforced an access_valid_for_days constraint of 89 days, aligning with GoCardless requirements and addressing a specific product issue. This work expanded payment-method coverage and streamlined the onboarding process for additional banks, demonstrating a focused approach to API integration and robust configuration management within the codebase.
