During July 2025, Abukor contributed to the apache/kudu repository by enhancing webserver security and improving cluster initialization reliability. He implemented TLS 1.3 support for the webserver, introducing configurable ciphersuites and updating the minimum protocol version to strengthen secure communications. Using C and C++, he ensured robust testing for TLS 1.3 functionality, reducing regression risk. Abukor also addressed a bug in ExternalMiniCluster by moving the start_jwks member initialization into the constructor’s initializer list, improving code correctness and startup stability. His work demonstrated depth in network security, software development, and testing, resulting in safer deployments and smoother upgrade processes.
