During a one-month engagement, Alex Carmel enhanced Kubernetes workload security in the PrefectHQ/prefect-helm repository by implementing seccompProfile support within the worker chart’s podSecurityContext. This feature, developed using YAML and Helm Charts, set the default seccomp profile to RuntimeDefault, aligning with related pull requests to ensure consistent security configuration across components. Alex’s work increased the configurability of security settings for Kubernetes-based worker pods, enabling organizations to better meet policy compliance and risk reduction goals.
