Worked on the eksctl-io/eksctl repository to expand AWS regional support and enhance cluster observability. Developed and integrated support for the MX-Central-1 AWS region by introducing the necessary region constant and EKS resource account ID, updating the SupportedRegions logic to enable seamless deployments in the new region. Improved operational insight by making metrics-server the default addon for EKS clusters, ensuring it is provisioned before any node groups are created. This approach allows users to gain immediate visibility into cluster health from the outset. The work leveraged Go, AWS, and Kubernetes, focusing on cloud infrastructure and DevOps best practices.
