During November 2024, Alfonso Corretti focused on governance improvements within the elastic/security-docs repository by updating the CODEOWNERS configuration. He consolidated code ownership, reassigned responsibilities, and optimized pull request routing to clarify ownership and streamline the review process. Alfonso temporarily added himself as a CODEOWNERS reviewer to ensure continuous coverage and removed outdated entries to reflect current team structure. This work, implemented using YAML and leveraging DevOps practices, addressed ambiguities in ownership and reduced review delays. The changes enhanced security governance for documentation, demonstrating a targeted approach to code ownership management rather than broad feature development or bug fixing during this period.
