During December 2025, Acris Liu developed the Shiro Hexo Theme for the hexojs/site repository, focusing on enhancing branding and user experience through a modern, clean design. Acris utilized Nunjucks for template-driven UI and Tailwind CSS for utility-first styling, integrating these technologies within the Hexo static site generator. The theme was engineered to be maintainable and easily extensible, supporting the project’s roadmap to broaden theming options and streamline onboarding for new theme authors. By leveraging skills in front end development, theme development, and YAML configuration, Acris delivered a feature-rich theme that addressed both aesthetic and technical requirements without introducing bugs.
