Worked on the ghostty-org/ghostty repository to enhance configuration color handling by implementing support for short hex color codes in user configuration files. Developed a feature in Zig that expands 3-character hex codes to their 6-character equivalents during configuration parsing, ensuring accurate color representation and improved reliability across different environments. Focused on backend development, the work improved the consistency of color parsing logic and contributed to a better user experience. All changes were tracked and documented through a dedicated feature commit, providing clear traceability. No major bugs were addressed during this period, with efforts concentrated on this targeted enhancement.
