Worked on enhancing accessibility tooling in the richard67/joomla-cms repository by upgrading the Jooa11y plugin to Sa11y 4.0.3. This update introduced the ability to disable specific accessibility checks, allowing for more targeted compliance and reducing unnecessary alerts. Deprecated settings fields were removed to streamline configuration and reduce technical debt, while code indentation was standardized to Joomla’s 4-space convention for improved maintainability. The work focused on backend and plugin development using PHP and INI, delivering a robust feature upgrade that aligns with Joomla 4 standards and supports ongoing accessibility improvements without introducing new bugs during the development period.
