Adib Mubarak engineered policy administration and security enhancements across WSO2’s identity-apps, carbon-identity-framework, and product-is repositories, focusing on maintainability, governance, and secure OAuth2 flows. He implemented DPoP token binding and validation in React-based UIs, refactored backend Java components for token handling, and improved internationalization using TypeScript and i18n frameworks. Adib migrated frontend styling from LESS to SCSS in learningequality/studio, aligning build tooling and linting for consistency. His work included deprecating legacy XACML features, strengthening documentation, and introducing robust integration tests. The depth of his contributions improved platform security, streamlined policy workflows, and enhanced code quality across multiple teams.

November 2024: Completed deprecation and removal of XACML integration across the WSO2 Identity Platform to simplify maintenance and reduce risk. Key changes include removing XACML configurations and tests from wso2/product-is and excluding XACML entries from instrumentation; and deprecating XACML support across wso2/carbon-identity-framework by removing XACML-related database scripts, scope validation, and provisioning handlers across Identity Core and Entitlement components. These cleanups were executed through targeted commits, consolidating platform simplification and aligning with a leaner feature surface.
