Contributed to the Iceberg Rust ecosystem by delivering three features and resolving two bugs, focusing on backend development and data integrity. Work included implementing correct byte representation for decimal hashing with comprehensive edge-case tests in the influxdata/iceberg-rust repository, and enforcing stricter validation for reserved sort order IDs to prevent misparsing. Enhanced upgradeability by enabling table metadata migration from version 2 to 3 with snapshot preservation, and aligned partition field ID reuse with Iceberg specifications in apache/iceberg-rust. Improvements also extended to documentation, clarifying Rust version support and contribution guidelines. Utilized Rust, data serialization, and unit testing throughout the development process.
