Over three months, WB contributed to HandBrake, philipwalton/content, jellyfin/jellyfin.org, and qBittorrent, focusing on cross-platform media support and installer improvements. WB enhanced HandBrake’s WinGUI by centralizing error dialog sizing in ErrorService.cs using C# and WPF, ensuring consistent UI behavior across themes. For philipwalton/content and jellyfin/jellyfin.org, WB authored and updated HEVC (H.265) codec documentation, clarifying Firefox’s phased rollout and OS-specific requirements. In qBittorrent, WB extended CI/CD pipelines and NSIS scripts to support Windows ARM64 installers, leveraging build systems expertise. The work demonstrated depth in Windows development, documentation, and architecture-specific deployment, addressing maintainability and cross-team clarity.

Month 2025-10: Delivered two high-impact features across Jellyfin.org and qBittorrent that improve cross-platform playback readiness and deployment reach.

March 2025: Key feature delivered—HEVC (H.265) Video Codec Support Status Rollout Documentation for the philipwalton/content repo. This clarifies the phased Firefox decoding rollout, starting with Nightly and expanding to stable releases across Windows, macOS, and Linux. This work improves release planning, reduces ambiguity for QA and partners, and aligns engineering milestones with product expectations.
