In May 2025, Areber enhanced the cri-o/cri-o repository by developing a feature to validate logging continuity during container checkpoint and restore operations. Using bash and leveraging skills in containerization and system administration, Areber expanded the test suite to capture logs before checkpointing, restore the container, and verify that log output continues to grow and retains previous entries after restoration. This approach improved end-to-end reliability and traceability of container lifecycle events, supporting more effective debugging and CI visibility. The work demonstrated a focused, in-depth contribution to testing infrastructure, addressing log integrity without introducing unrelated bug fixes during the period.
