Worked on the companieshouse/confirmation-statement-api repository to deliver two features focused on improving reliability and developer experience. Addressed health check alignment by updating both the API and load balancer configurations, resulting in more accurate health reporting and a simplified deployment process. Enhanced the local development environment by upgrading dependencies and revising documentation, including the README and Docker image setup, to streamline onboarding for new engineers. Utilized skills in DevOps, Infrastructure as Code, and documentation, leveraging Terraform and Markdown to implement these changes. The work reduced the risk of misreporting system health and improved operational efficiency for the engineering team.
