Worked on the haystack-core-integrations repository to deliver structured output capability for the GoogleGenAIChatGenerator. Implemented a new response_format parameter that enables users to define output schemas using Pydantic models or JSON Schema, enhancing flexibility and reliability in API development. Developed comprehensive end-to-end tests to validate the handling and integration of structured outputs, ensuring robust backend functionality. Updated generator utility paths and provided clear documentation examples to support developer adoption and improve the overall developer experience. Utilized Python for backend development and testing, focusing on maintainable code and thorough validation of new features within the existing codebase.
