Worked on the boto3 repository to streamline the codebase by removing AWS OpsWorks integration from both the library and its test suite. This involved clearing out deprecated code paths, including REGION_MAP and BLOCKLIST, to reduce maintenance overhead and eliminate unnecessary dependencies. Focused on enhancing maintainability and reliability, the changes resulted in a leaner codebase and faster, more dependable integration testing. Utilized Python and leveraged skills in AWS, CI/CD, and cloud computing to ensure the library remained up to date with current best practices. The work improved test execution and simplified ongoing library maintenance without introducing new bugs or regressions.
