Worked on strengthening the reliability and security of SpaceCat’s scraping infrastructure by enhancing shared utilities and the API surface in the adobe/spacecat-api-service repository. Delivered server-side per-site authentication for scrape jobs, maintaining backward compatibility for unauthenticated requests while improving authorization handling. Addressed an AWS Secrets Manager edge case in adobe/spacecat-shared by normalizing secret version names to prevent Lambda invocation errors, and expanded unit test coverage to ensure robust authentication paths. Utilized JavaScript and AWS Lambda, focusing on backend development and comprehensive testing. Coordinated across repositories to prepare for future updates, reducing production risk and supporting seamless authentication and secret management.
