During October 2025, Alfred focused on improving the stability of the airbnb/lottie-ios animation library by addressing a critical edge case in animation timing. He identified and fixed a division-by-zero bug in the LottieAnimationHelpers component, which previously caused runtime crashes during animation progress calculations. By implementing a frame-duration guard, Alfred ensured that division only occurred when safe, thereby enhancing the reliability of Lottie rendering on iOS devices. His work, primarily using Swift and leveraging his skills in animation and iOS development, delivered a targeted stability improvement. This contribution demonstrated careful attention to runtime safety and robust handling of animation edge cases.
