In April 2023, Abhijit Ghaisas focused on improving test stability in the JetBrainsRuntime repository by updating the cross-platform Java AWT/Swing test exclusion list. Using Java and Git-based change management, Abhijit analyzed main.2176 test results to identify and exclude unstable tests that caused environment-specific failures. This targeted bug fix reduced CI noise and improved the reliability of automated testing across platforms, enabling faster feedback cycles and more efficient bug triage. The work demonstrated a strong grasp of Java, AWT/Swing, and cross-platform testing, addressing a nuanced quality assurance challenge rather than delivering new features during the period.
