He implemented a responsive viewport strategy using HTML and front end development skills, addressing small font rendering issues on mobile devices. By conditionally applying the viewport meta tag to the mobile site and providing an option to switch to the desktop view for users preferring smaller text, Alex improved accessibility and readability. His work included documenting the rationale and technical details for future maintenance. The solution, developed with web development expertise and Perl, reduced friction for mobile users and supported broader adoption of the platform.
