In September 2025, Alex Goode enhanced real-time monitoring in the cdce8p/ha-core repository by increasing the PrusaLink metrics update cadence to 1.0 seconds. This feature, developed using Python and backend development skills, improved the freshness of operational data for Home Assistant integrations. By reducing the interval between metric updates, Alex addressed data staleness and enabled more responsive automation pipelines and dashboards.
