Worked on enhancing reliability and observability for kernel-side side-load job monitoring within the redhatci/ansible-collection-redhatci-ocp repository. Focused on improving the Ansible-based workflow by updating tasks to provide more accurate and detailed job completion status reporting. Leveraged YAML and system administration expertise to refine the job status check, ensuring that failures are reported with specific details about the job’s state. This approach reduced ambiguous failure signals and enabled faster incident triage, ultimately lowering deployment risk. The work addressed a critical bug, resulting in a more robust monitoring process for side-load workflows without introducing new features during the period.
