During December 2024, Alexandre Hamez focused on modernizing Docker environment variable configuration for the livebook-dev/livebook repository. He addressed a Docker warning by updating deprecated ENV usage in both Dockerfiles and related Elixir code, aligning the project with current best practices. This work improved deployment reliability and ensured better compatibility with CI/CD pipelines. By leveraging his expertise in DevOps, Docker, and Elixir, Alexandre reduced future maintenance overhead and enhanced the codebase’s long-term sustainability. Although the period did not include new feature development, his targeted bug fix demonstrated a thoughtful approach to technical debt and infrastructure quality within the project.
