In March 2025, Alex Holt refactored the caregiver task management module in the umgc/spring2025 repository, focusing on code organization and maintainability. Using Dart, Alex removed duplicate files, relocated the caregiver task service and associated tests to more logical directories, and updated import statements to reflect the new structure. This work streamlined the codebase, reduced maintenance overhead, and established a foundation for more reliable testing and future feature development. By emphasizing file management and refactoring, Alex’s contributions improved the overall project structure, making it easier for the team to iterate on new features and maintain the code going forward.
